What's this all about then?

I would like to use the Calendar to list the upcoming events (and even better have that bring the information across from the National calendar system).

I hope to be able to still permit you to comment on each upcoming event but of course those comments will vanish as events happen and stop appearing on that page.

Ideally I then think it would be great if anyone who attended an event could/would post on this page a few notes about how much they enjoyed the event, perhaps even share pictures.

There are some people who believe that this is the job of Facebook and I am sure that provides a very good platform for those that use it, however for those who do not, I hope that this page may provide the opportunity for you to share your thoughts with a smaller group of like-minded people.

Classic Vehicle Festival at Tewkesbury Sunday 22 August 2021

The Rotary Club of Tewkesbury stage their popular Classic Vehicle Festival at Tewkesbury School Playing Fields. The event is the Rotary Clubs’ biggest charity annual fundraiser which raises thousands of pounds for both national and regional charities.

The event features a spectacular display of over 1000 classic vehicles, from the dawn of the motoring era, to pre-war, post-war, American classics, custom cars, hot rods, super-cars, motorbikes to modern classics.

It’s not just cars either . . . over 200 classic motorcycles will be on display, with all the major marques represented, plus 110+ quality trade stands selling everything from car accessories, auto-jumble, memorabilia to jewellery and crafts, plus a bar, large dance floor and a wide selection of catering.

New for 2021 live music with the marvellous vintage songstress Betsy Harmony and the ‘hot rockin’ piano man Jon Clare who will be belting out classic hits form the 1950s and 60s.

The annual event is a must-do on the classic car show calendar.

A superb family day out, whilst raising vital money for worthwhile causes!

This was originally a 'flat tank' event the first day and open to classic bikes the second day. However in our attempt to broaden appeal the event has become more open in recent years and has proven to be a popular weekend based in Keswick in the heart of the Lake District. The event starts with people gathering on the Friday afternoon at the town's Rugby Club which is located very handily close to the town centre and with the town camp / caravan site next door. There are runs on the Saturday and Sunday, which are primarily social runs attracting riders from all part of the U.K.

Although a VMCC event, all VCR members are welcome. Although subject to VMCC regulations, we can share the facilities over the weekend and mix with like minded people whilst enjoying a great ...

The Welsh Rally 11 -14 June, 2015

The Welsh Rally is well established as being the highlight of the Vintage Register's Social Calendar. Set in lovely Pembrokeshire countryside and organised by a strong local team who know the area well, enjoyable, scenic rides out are assured.

Our venue is Llwyngwair Manor, near Newport ( www.pembrokeshireholidaypark.co.uk). Situated beside the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coastal path, yet also close to the Preseli Mountains, this venue offers friendly, family run hotel accomodation, self-catering cottages and an extensive area set aside for camping.

There is a range of actvities organised throughout the weekend but nothing is considered 'de rigueur'. Everything is very relaxed and informal; all are free to join in activities as and when they choose, so you can combine a good club social activity with a relaxing family break. Enjoy your VCR activity and keep the family happy.
